Sear not resetting I think
« on: February 28, 2020, 10:32:16 PM »
So I have a problem. installed Cajun reach reduction and the Czcustom flat trigger. I replaced the slide the gun works fine. But once I rack the slide the hammer is stuck  in the fully cocked position and the trigger is frozen also.

If I remove the slide and press down on the sear lever on the left side of the sear cage, I think it’s there because of the firing pin block in other czs, the sear resets and the hammer works and The guns works until i rack the slide And then the hammer is frozen again at full cock. Suggestions anyone?

I need to take a bit of metal off somewhere I think, just not sure where. Or maybe a sear spring issue? Tho I don’t think so.

What gun is it and can you post pics of the gun with the slide off and hammer at full cocked?

What do you mean by the trigger being frozen? Is the gun resetting?

If not, a lot of people incorrectly position the trigger bar and trigger bar support spring.

Take off the grips and take a peek at where ir sits. It should be contained within the channels on the bottom of the trigger bar.

Also which gun would be belpful

It’s a shadow 2. Figured out problem. The disconnector needed fitting. Now done and it works fine.  Used the instructions on czcustom

Good deal. It’s always satisfying to be able to diagnose and repair yourself. Glad you figured it out.
