Slide release.
« on: February 04, 2020, 10:15:50 AM »
This is my new RAMI D I purchased through Palmetto State Armory last month. This is the slide release fully inserted into the frame. My other RAMI slide release sits flush against the frame. The two slide releases do not interchange. I have contacted CZ and am waiting for them to get back to me but in the meantime i figured I'd get some other opinions. Seems to function fine but i have yet to take it to the range. What say yee?

I'd say typical "not hi-end" manufacturing. We all know CZ doesn't have best quality control.
If it's on the warranty, just replace it.
For concealment you want to have your firearm as plain as possible.

Mine (19 stamp) fits flush.  I’d call CZ.

Welcome to the Forum UU
Have you Mic'ed the two Slide Stops to compare them one to one ?
If they are the same, than your RAMI is at issue
The Cross Pin on the Stop "may be" bent
Even the tiniest amount could be causing this issue
Since you've stated that the Stops will not interchange, and if they do Mic as different, then I'd say the Stop is at issue and a new Stop would be your fix
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Seems they've finished working on it and it shall ship home shortly. Fairly quick turn-around time if i do say so myself.

Do not forget to post the picture so we can see difference BEFORE-AFTER  :)

Well no need for a before and after picture as they say the slide stop is within tolerance. They did however Adjust and polish the ramp, chamber and extended throat, Polished the breach face lead in. Added extractor tension and test fired it. So yay for that. I'll buy a new slide stop for schitz and giggles and see where that takes me. I should note that i am more of a collector of cool things and not a tactical/practical guy so fit and finish along with aesthetics are paramount for me. Which is why this gap is going to be a sticking point for me on this particular RAMI of mine.

:o 8) ::) O0
Really... That's a kind of tolerance which can easily lock your garment in...

Hard to do precise measurements, but basic pixel counting shows that the gap on the end of lever is almost twice bigger !!!
I know CZ is not an expensive firearm, but if my life depends on it there is no place for such "tolerance"  >:(

Indubitably. It looks like it could snag the hide off a hog. I'll see what the new slide lock does for it, if it even fits. Got one from Cajun that was compatible with the RAMI BD.

to me, the slide stop looks like someone tried to pry it off when they didn't have the slide back correctly
I don't look like my avatar!

I could see that but it's brand new and i'd imagine if someone tried to pry one of these out and got that far it probably wouldn't function.  Either way the release i got from Cajun part number 08004 sits a lot closer to the frame but is a little beefier.

And now it looks like should when you took it out from the box for the first time  :)
