New Ammo Boxes
« on: February 08, 2021, 10:18:05 AM »

My first go at posting a pic. Hope I put it in the right subject area. Saw these blank boxes and styrofoam inserts at Midway and ordered a couple of cases last week. Dusted off my Dymo 450 Turbo and started messin' around. First run came out ok. Gonna play around with it while it's too cold outside to do any shooting.

Picture came out fine.  Will assume they are these  https://www.midwayusa.com/product/102046994

What did you use for the labels?

Dymo LW, 30256 labels, proggy let's you do a photo grab and paste onto the label. And yes, your link is the same boxes. Midway has really cleaned up their act on shipping. Ordered them on Wed, got them on Thursday.

That's nice. I once saw a guy who made up labels to look like ammo from the 1890's to 1900's. That was really great too. It's amazing how many facets there are to reloading !

Sometimes you can get the plastic boxes almost as cheaply as the paper, if you buy them a dozen at a time. Dillon used to have a great deal on boxes 10 at a time. It worked out to be $1.10 or $1.20 per box. I'm sure others must be offering the same deal.

I’m a cheap bastard. I reused factory boxes and affixed shipping labels containing all the info about the ammo.

My practice ammo.

Next time, I’ll use bigger labels so I can copy and paste whatever picture I like on the side of the ammo info.

I am too lazy.  I just dump ammo into a ammo can or dry box and write the load data on the inside of the lid and the caliber on the outside. Like the idea though, but I usually crank out 1,000 rounds at a time.

Now, That's funny! Your pic could have come from my Loading room! Creep the range, snag the empty boxes, take 'em home, slap a piece of masking tape on them and write my data on the tape. And, if you guys knew me, you'd have a laugh. My brother calls me Ricochet Rabbit. I tend to have a rather anxious personality. I've had that Dymo for probably 5 years gathering dust in my office. Below zero temps are a great motivator for staying inside and finding projects and this was just one of them. Next up; gonna index all my firearms and put a locking door on my cave. At least 10 more days of this deep freeze so I'll have plenty of time.

if you are going to print up ammo boxes, you should make some for "Lester's" brand
