P-10C - Replacing threaded barrel with standard unthreaded?
« on: March 31, 2020, 10:02:48 PM »
Hello All!  First time handgun owner here after a couple years of admiring the P-10C from afar my wife finally let me get one.  A couple months ago i picked up an urban grey gen "1.5" suppressor ready P-10C recently due to a severe shortage of anything but P-10Fs at my local gun shop, and given what i thought was a decent price, took it home with hopes to find a stock unthreaded barrel to get it back to normal.

My question is are there any issues with just dropping in the stock un-threaded P-10C barrel (Part #0550001001) or does a gunsmith need to be involved with "fitting" for some reason?  I've ordered one from the CZ store already.

I'm also obviously interested in some replacement non-suppressor height sights and i'd imagine you all have some recommendations?

Looking forward to many more years with this beauty and learning as much as i can from you all!

First off welcome to the family! You didn't necessarily say you're a first time "gun owner" but you're a first time handgun owner and decided on the P10C instead of going with what I like to refer to as the Honda Civic of the handgun world aka the Glock... So congrats to you.

I can't speak from experience on the barrel swap but everything I've read says it should drop right in, I'm sure others with experience can offer more information on this.

As for replacement sights, in your case I'd recommend a night fision set. I like a high visibility front and subdued rear so I kept the stock rear sights on my P10C and lightly painted over the dots and went with a Night fision front sight.
Th photos show my sight setup. The factory rear sights are photoluminescent but the night fision is tritium.

Thanks for the welcome Cj!  Correct, just a first timer in the handgun respect, have a number of shotguns/rifles around.  I got the barrel yesterday and it dropped in fine.  Thanks for the recommendation on the sights, I like the green front on your setup, very sharp!

Here’s a pic of mine with the regular barrel in, sights obviously next!

Well I'm willing to bet this is the first of many CZ pistols in your collection. It helped to have my wife as an accountability partner for my new found addiction. :)
