I recently got a brand new P-01 with decocker with the NSN serial and I immediately installed the CJW pro package in it without dry firing it. Once complete I dry fired it in single action, trigger went limp and could not fire it in double action. I racked the slide, decocked it, and after dry firing it in double action the trigger went limp again.
Every hammer fired gun I've owned or tried you could dry fire the double action over and over with no issue, but with this P01 you can't dry fire DA without racking the slide and decocking it first and repeating that entire process.
I've taken this gun apart completely about 8 times, replaced the trigger bar spring just in case...limp. The double action works if I move the hammer or slide 1-2mm back
I gave up, decided to take it to a gunsmith/cerakote and he took it to a shop that works on a lot of these guns, store owner shows him the p01 is suppose to do that and his own shop gun does the same exact thing.
The thing is...why is it when I contacted CGW about this in full detail with pictures they didn't immediately tell me that's just how the P-01 works?! Instead they just asked me things like are the screws in the trigger, does it do it when the gun is fully put together. You would think a company that specialized in CZ would know that right away about the P-01...unless it's not true?
I did several combination google searches trying to read anything on the P-01 trigger going limp once dry fired...NOTHING, watched review videos...nothing. You would think a feature like this would be highlighted since most hammer fired guns can be dry fired in double action over and over.
CZ hasn't responded to my e-mail in a week, so here I am.
So, does your P-01 trigger go limp once you dry fire it?
