It's tinkering time!

Just got my P-07 Pro Kit from CGW today, as well as stainless guide rod and recoil springs. Can't wait to get into it!

Nice.  If you're new to the Omega platform, be sure to watch the videos by Joe L on disassembly and reassembly.  They really helped me out in the beginning.  Now after tearing into them many times, I feel pretty comfortable with it... like I sometimes look for an excuse to detail strip them for a thorough cleaning and inspection.

I've watched these a few times, thanks all! I've actually detail stripped my P-07 before.

So I got everything installed, put back together, and I'm having a weird problem: the manual safety won't engage when the hammer is in full-cock. It engages at quarter-cock but not full-cock. Tried taking the ejector and sear pin out and resetting everything but it's still the same result. Any ideas?

You may need to replace the sear with a new one. They are not expensive.

Yeah, you need to either replace your sear or else fit it by filing on your safety where it intersects... I run decocker so I haven't dealt with it personally.  CGW can give you some advice on how to deal with it.  Pretty sure they made a post about it here at some point.

Yeah that's kind of what it feels like. The trigger pull feels amazing now but there's a certain "grit" when manually cocking the hammer. I'll call CGW in the morning, like you said I'm sure it's not the first time they've heard this issue.

I called CGW this morning and got it all sorted, had to file the tiniest bit of an edge off the flat part of the manual safety shaft, also took care of that grit in the hammer cocking as apparently the sear was rubbing weird against the manual safety shaft while cocking.

I always heard CGW was awesome, but now I've confirmed it myself, those guys rock!
