I have always had an issue with the liberal use of the term “Alloy Frame” by gun manufacturers and gun sellers. Obviously, all steel is actually an alloy of some sorts. In the real world, commercially available “Alloy” steel in bar or plate is a chrome-moly type, like AISI 4130. Since there are so many misuses of the term being used synonymously for Aluminum and even Pot Metal [zinc alloy] frames, that there really should be some kind of impetus to clarify the term.

So does the 75 Compact.

Per Merriam-Webster, an alloy is "a substance composed of two or more metals or of a metal and a nonmetal intimately united usually by being fused together and dissolving in each other when molten."

The 75 Compact's frame is an alloy made predominantly of iron, i.e., steel; the P-01's frame is an alloy made predominantly of aluminum.

By the way, a sidearm that feels heavy when carried is telling you a better belt-holster system is needed.

I always had an issue with the guys who are always trying to be too smart(not you bonj)but showing lack of brains instead.It is as simple as it gets,there are steel alloys and aluminum alloys,and bunch of other alloys.When you buy golden  ring,it is not pure gold,it is alloy,but nobody calls it golden alloy ring.
