Flat Trigger on Decocker

Hello all

I just bought a CZ 75 D Compact.
As I am a fan of flat trigger here is my question:

Can the CZ custom SA flat trigger be installed in my pistol with decocker?

I always read that SA triggers only can be installed in manual safety pistols and not in decockers.

So is this true? The pistol only will be used for target shooting. No holstering or anything like that, if safety would be a concern.

Interesting, does the SA conversion eliminate the decocking function or just the double action first pull? When you use the decocker after the conversion does it just kill the trigger? Very curious as to the specifics of this modification as I have never heard of anyone converting a decocker to SA.

the trigger can be fitted.  because SA only, you would need to cock the hammer ( rack the slide to load) to shoot.  if you stopped before emptying the magazine, you would then need to decock the hammer to make safe. then if you wanted to shoot again. you would need to cock the hammer. 

its requires some extra manipulations to make the pistol safe once fired and the shoot again.

Pretty sure this is the trigger Stuart was thinking of at first, might be a good option for what you want to accomplish and still retain the DA/SA function of the pistol.

So but what is the diffrence when I put the trigger into a manual safety gun, besides, that there is a safety for not dropping the hammer?
For my understanding it works the same, but no DA function anymore.

But the enemy here is called ITAR.

Buying gun parts in the US to get shipped to Switzerland ist almost impossible.

I believe you have the concept down, not having done this modification on a decocker pistol, only safety models, it will eliminate the double action function of your pistol and therefore make your decocker a trigger killing switch. Which might be ok for a range toy I guess, but for me would be completely unacceptable for a defensive pistol use.

If I have other internal parts, will they fit in a decocker model?

My ultimate goal is a threaded barrel SAO gun. Since the Tac comes with decodker, could it be converted to SAO with safety if I guy the sear cage and all?

My current build is an SP-01 safety model but I had to buy a threaded barrel that was not cheap ~$250 - If the sear and safety conversion stuff is cheaper than that I might consider it next build.

I would have to check with the pistols in front of me but my immediate thinking is that there is no way to install the safety detent in a decocker model, not sure without looking at it what other issues might arise. Last time I looked in to it was several years ago when I wanted a P01 with a safety and the omega guns weren’t out yet, so things may have changed since then but I think you are much better off just swapping barrels.
