If you're still having issues with your CZC custom SP-01 KADET

You should contact Stuart, either here or at CZC and voice your concerns with the Pistol
With what you gave for it, it should run like a Trainman's Pocket Watch   ;)
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

I asked a question about hammer spring weight for kadets, and the consensus was the default 20 lb spring will give you the most reliable ignition. But you can go down to a 17 lb hammer spring and not have issues. Going below that hammer weight will probably require more frequent cleanings of the feedramp, and bore face.

yes...it is the one pictured above from cz custom...and have talked with him a bit...but honestly havent gotten the best response...have tried multiple types of ammo...multiple hammer springs (stuart sent me a few extra...same results)...and it is the sp01 kadet kit (again as pictured above).

OK...fired 150 rounds and zero light strikes using remington thunderboltz....but miss the last round hold-open...but if that is the sacrifice to have it fire reliably like today...I guess I'll take the trade.

One other thing to check with that design is the slide friction.  Don't use grease on the slide rails.  Use very light oil.  The whole slide cycles and it is almost too much for a .22 standard velocity load.
Perhaps remove the recoil spring and put the slide back on the frame and cycle it by hand and see if you can feel any rough spot on the slide rails that could be removed with a file.

Also, check to see if the slide will lock back by hand with an empty magazine.  If it will, then the reason why the slide won't lock on the last round is because it isn't coming back far enough to engage the slide lock.  If the gun runs OK on thunderbolts, that is a good sign.  Then CCI minimags should work also as far as cycling, but if you have light strikes with the minimags, it is back to finding out what is keeping the hammer from hitting the firing pin hard enough or the what is slowing down the firing pin when the hammer hits it.

Given you're talking about a CZ75 KADET; YES, the consensus is; no lighter than 17lbs for most consistent Pin Strikes

How old is the hammer spring you're using?  The reason I ask is that I have a penchant for used guns.  And I've seen in a number of them that function can improve dramatically by changing springs.  The most recent being a Walther SP22 (not a P22) that went from running really well to suddenly having A LOT of light strike issues that weren't being resolved by deep cleaning.  The firing pin imprints certainly looked adequate, and yet maybe 2-3 resets would set the round off, or fire in a different gun without issue. Still feeding and ejecting fine, just not firing reliably.
I got as many new springs as i could, including the hammer spring and it went back to 100% function just like that!  The FP dents don't look any deeper, but there must be a bit sharper impact at play that takes care of it.
I let myself get distracted for months by everything that it wasn't.  I learned a lot more in-depth stuff about that pistol than I'd have ever imagined, but there it was, once again, a very simple fix to to a very simple problem that was not easy to quantify.  Moral of the story, when in doubt, if there's any sort of age on the springs, remove that doubt, even more so when there's nothing mechanical evidently wrong.
