Now the writing on the Barrel is in Czech, pretty much figured  out in was made in Praha Czech in 1959.
Am I true in saying this is a true Czech CZ VZ 50, not a knock off

I am not familiar with anyone making vz 50 knock-offs.

In 7.65 Br (.32 ACP), hollowpoints probably won't expand much, but could limit the effective penetration (time for a Paul Harrell meat-target test on mouse gun ammo).

If you stick to European brands of 7.65/.32 (e.g. S&B, Fiocchi, PPU), the extractor groove and rim shape will be optimal for your pistol.

I noticed that you posted two photos with different markings of the left side so I’ll presume one is a borrowed photo for illustrative purposes? The vz 50 had four marking variations over its production span. As Eastman indicated, I’m also not aware of any copies being produced.

Yes, you're correct.  It's really built in Prague.  There's no financial incentive to create copies of these guns, because there are so many originals available.

Value wise it's value would be in the condition which appears to be very good.  Still lot of shooters looking for CZ guns in 32 acp.

I thought the vz50 pistols were made in the Strakonice factory?

Good point... they were built both in Strakonice and in Uherský Brod.  I don't own a CZ 50 or a CZ 70, so I don't know how they were stamped at the factory.  I just did a quick Google image search, and I don't see any other pistols marked this way....

So... it may be something special.  Anyone else have a vz. 50 marked this way?  I've got to look at the original picture more.

The first CZ50 pistols were made at Strakonice from 1950 through 1952 when production was paused to concentrate on the military CZ52 pistol. Production resumed in 1957 at the Uherský Brod factory and ended in 1970.

I have a CZ50 stamped 58, which means it was made in 1958. The markings on the slide, and frame beneath, in the OPs pics are not of the same era as my CZ. We need pics of both sides of the entire pistol to properly identify it.

My slide markings look like this


If it's a CZ50/70 the takedown button should be forward of the trigger guard, on the frame, on the ejection side of the pistol.
