1st CZ for a Sig guy.
« on: August 02, 2020, 08:22:09 PM »
Hi all!
Just bought my very first CZ and is a P-01, and may i say.....I LOVE IT!

It did very well, even i for my aging eyes.
Now the venture begins.

First line of business is to find a red dot.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

Cheers from Las Vegas!!!

Congratulations!

CZ is my preferred manufacturer with Sig a close second.

P 01 is a wonderful gun, especially with the Omega trigger.*

*Not everyone agrees about the Omega, but it’s OK if they’re a little bit wrong. ;)

Welcome to the CZ world.  You will eventually ditch all those Sigs to the better choice.

Congrats! I have a PCR milled for a Venom. I really like it but had to get rid of my rear sight.  I also have a steel framed P01 milled for a CZ Custom RMR adapter that mounts an SRO. Again, I really like it but again no rear sight. And I'm waiting on a Holosun 407K to mill directly to my other P01. If I were you I'd seriously consider a Holosun 407k or 507k since they're small and can be milled directly to the slide while maintaining your iron sights. CGW will do it for sure. Maybe CZ Custom too. I wish the K series of Holosuns had been available when I milled my PCR - I definitely would have gone that route. And I kinda wish I had done that with my steel framed P01. You can also install a dovetail adapter from Springer Precision or EGW. I've got a Springer Precision plate on my 97BD and it works just fine. Springer will even install for you for $20 if you send them your slide. That said, I'm finding that for me the lower the dot sits the better, so mounting a dot directly on the slide is my preference if possible.

That a nice choice for a first CZ gun. I have a p01 as well and its is the NATO approve gun non-omega. It is very accurate and smooth shooting. Very predictable. To me the NATO version is superior to the omega. The trigger is better and lever to drop the hammer is placed in a better location, and the function of the decocker  is also more ergonomic. Enjoy the pistol. Cz multiple fast.

I travelled the same route as you. Started off with Sigs and a chance meeting with a fellow range member got my interest in CZ products going. I have three, not as many as some other members have, but I am going to pick up more. I still have my Sigs, but they sit for the most part.

Glad to have you here. You'll like it.
