So this time last year I was able to finally see the completion of a project I worked on with Sig Sauer for a little over a year. It was the culmination of a National POW Recognition project I had initially proposed in early 2019. The initial proposal was unfortunately outside the scope of what they could accommodate, but having reviewed the interview of my father's time in the USMC as well as his time in captivity as a POW (1160 days), they decided they wanted to do a custom pistol project for him. Sig was in the process of delivering the custom pistols to the Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns and were also producing a couple pistols for two Medal of Honor recipients at the time of my correspondence.
