when i was younger there was a news show that had a gunmaker in Washington.

he made muzzle loaders from scratch...  really cool and i wanted 1 so bad, but no $$ and probably could not afford one back then.

got to give craftsman like that credit and alot of respect.

I've viewed the sites of a couple of modern 18th century gunsmiths. They make new custom flintlocks following the old ways. Both are backed up with work and not taking new orders.
