CZ 85 C with new CZC short trigger kit #10363- success !
« on: June 05, 2020, 09:05:36 PM »
Well, last year I installed the CGW race trigger and enjoyed the improved trigger pull weight in SA.

A few hours ago ,I installed the CZC pre-B disco (that came in the kit #10363).

It turned out to be a 'drop in' fit !

It removed alot of take up in the SA. May have better reset in SA and the trigger pull weight coincidentally measured a bit less then pre-disco just before the switch. Probably did well for the DA trigger position.

Funny, when first testing the SA, my finger's muscle memory went long as I used to have a longer take up.

Left me temporarily puzzled. Ha !!

Good times !!

Later the range fun ! 8)

Pics!  I bought my 85 in 1990 in (West) Germany when I was active duty.  Didn't realize at the time what an iconic gun I was buying.  Still have the box and everything.  Its old enough now I'll leave it bone stock and enjoy it.

I could not figure out how to post an actual picture.

This one shows the average SA trigger pull weight of 2 Lbs. 9.7 ounces  Average of five pulls right after the new disco. It may have been a coincidence but this average was a bit lower than the average I took right before disassembly for the new disco. It already had the CGW race hammer installed.

The first cz I got was a 2012 85 combat two tone , and still one of my favorites, all I added were grips and a fiber optic.😎😎

one observation i noticed recently after installing the short reset and extended firing pin in an 8 yr old pistol that had all the rest of the cgw pro pkg done several yrs ago was that the trigger weights of the gun before i did the recent mods were a a bit heavier in single and double action. i pondered how it could be and came to the conclusion that the initial weights before i took the gun apart were with a fired gun that was not totally stripped and cleaned. the trigger pulls after the latest mods were with a stripped down, sear removed, thorough cleaning and lubrication. made sense that the trigger pulls were slightly less with a clean action.
