hunting for a P-01
« on: January 12, 2021, 05:57:25 PM »
OK folks on the hunt for a P-01, alloy frame ,black 14 round I believe the CZ SKU is 91199 I know there are a couple on Gun Broker but they are a bit inflated, which in these times I know is fairly common. If any one knows of an LGS to check please let me know. The traditional internet outlets ( buds, smokey mountain, grab a gun ect. ) do not have
Thanx in advance

If you can wait they should drop in price. In a normal year,( non CoVid) CZ ships in lots. They come and go, ( even some models on discontinued list). Hopefully they should start showing up again in March. That would of course lower the price.

It would help if you mention what area you live in, as a lot of local dealers don’t ship.

I got mine thru gunbroker for $650 in October... from D&L Supplies, Rhode Island. I think they're one of the larger CZ retailers.  I live in NJ and D&L Supplies did not charge sales tax or a credit card fee.

Used to be a dealer in Richmond/Henrico who had a lot of CZs.  He was a "CZ Guy" and had a bunch himself.  I used to see him at the Richmond area gun shows.  Bought rifle cases and two, maybe three CZ pistols from him 3 to 4 years ago.

I cannot remember the name of his gun shop.  I went to it once and picked up one of those CZ75 Compacts with the railed frame (like a P01).

I can't remember the address either but it was in a big building, in what looked like a small industrial park.  Lots of business around, trucks, etc.

I've been on the web searching for Richmond area gun shops for long enough to make my eyes water and I haven't seen a name/location that rings a bell.  Sorry.

I did see that Town Gun Store (or is Town Police Supply) on Court House Rd. just above Hull St. is a CZ dealer listed on the CZ USA website.  Might check with them.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Found it in some old PMs from 2017.

I'll PM it to you.  I don't know if the store is still there or not.

For what its worth, the 75D is pretty much the P-01 but was the Israeli Police issue weapon.  I found one for my daughter a couple of years ago and based on the wear inside, it looked like new.  Just know that they have that funky little proprietary slot on the dust cover rail.

gun.deals and gunbroker are both great resources.

The former, having the UPC or SKU is tremendously helpful for searching.  They also now own wikiarms.

$650 in October for a P01 wasn't the best deal but now it seems like a good deal. Because prices have increased dramatically only in the last few months.
