Streamlight TLR-7 on P-10S?

disappointed to find out this light does not work on thus gun out of box with any of the provided inserts. Saw one guy post he got it to work by shaving some part of an insert and blue locktite on the screw but he didnt specify what insert or where he took material off. Anyone mod one for their gun? Im know the Infirce APC works but im just not a fan

Ok my P01 wears a tlr8 w/ side switch.   But same light won't fit my polymer 1911.  The oversize trigger guard on the poly frame pushes the light too far forward to fit the lights alignment bar into the gap in the pic rail.

So my bet is that your mod guy shaved off the alignment bar on the light and is holding it with clamping force that is backed up by loctite.

^^ thats for the C and im guessing the F, doesnt line up on the smaller S frame without some insert fitting, which now that i know what to do wont be a big deal at all. Its insert 1913-4 you need to shave the rail lug on, if anyone else cones across this interested

There’s a new TLR-7-A model out but not sure if its fit is any different than the TLR-7. May be worth checking out.

I bet the Olight PL-Mini 2 would fit on there just fine, but getting someone to make a holster for you can be a challenge.

I ditched my original TLR-7 for a PL-Mini 2 on my P-07 because I didn't like the TLR-7 side switches... didn't like using them, and didn't like that they were prone to be pressed accidentally by the inside of a holster.  Now that the models with the new switches are out, I have considered switching back to Streamlight, but the Olight hasn't failed me yet, and I have holsters made so I'm good for now.

I noticed this thread after posting a thread of my own asking a similar question (oops).

I know that the TLR-7 A doesn't work (because I tried it). I was just about to return/exchange the TLR-7 A to get a TLR-7 and see if that worked. Are you saying that the regular TLR-7 (with side switches) doesn't work either?

TLR-7 and TLR-7A use the same mounting system. Neither will fit the P-10 S without a custom rail adapter.

The olight PL Mini 2 is the only light I have tested that fits the P-10 S out of box.
