Color of CZ 83 finish

First post here on the forum, and new CZ owner. I recently picked up this CZ 83 in great shape with case, docs and extra mags. I keep hearing about blue finishes and black. Those of you who know, what finish would this be? Thanks for any info, and insight you provide.

Welcome !  Looks like the "black" to me.

• The black is a coating, like Cerakote, that's on the surface. It typically creates a matte finish.
• The blue is your typical "gun bluing" that's part of (in) the surface. It typically creates a mirror-like finish with a dark blue to black hue.

This gun is (was) a blued gun...

Just a question, why are you considering refinishing your CZ?
if it looked like my LEO, i'd say by all means.





Save your money for ammo.

I will not be refinishing. This 83 is in very new condition, and needs no work. It has only been to the range two or three times total. My friend barely put any rounds through it before I bought it.
I was just wondering the difference between the black and blue finishes.
