I just bought some 124g round nose projectiles from Bayou Bullets. They have change the profile of their bullet considerably, their new bullet is much shorter and has no grease ring in it and I measured it today at .572. I don’t know if anybody looks at this thread anymore but I thought I’d put it in there

I shoot a Tanfoglio Limited Custom in Competition.
I loaded the old Bayou 124's (.605 long)to 1.109 OAL and they plunked and shot very accurately and cycled 100%
The new projectiles (.572 long) I have to load to 1.081 ( .028 shorter ) for my gun to cycle the newer projectiles.
I have had to do some adjusting on the bell and powder for these as well.
It has taken me a while to get this right. I really liked the old ones and had the recipe dialed in perfect.
The new ones have been hit and miss until now and I think I have finally developed the new ticket for my gun.
I will need to shoot 500 or so to know they are reliable.
I will keep you posted. Wish me luck.

The attached quote refers to
Bayou 124g RN as the projectile I was referring to. So in case anyone may not have realized I was still talking about the same items
I apologize. The new profile of the projectile that caused me some difficulty was the
124g RN Bayou. Sorry I may have inadvertently caused some confusion.
