CZ P01 Omega frame
« on: November 27, 2020, 11:38:18 AM »
So, I just got a CZ P01 Omega frame off of another forum and I'm contemplating modifying my CZ 75BD compact slide to accommodate the wider hammer of the Omega. Can anyone tell me if its feasible, reasonable or ridiculous. Should I look for an Omega slide or sell the frame and put the funds towards another CZ? If I decide to sell it, what's a reasonable asking price.

Thanks,

How about having the top of the hammer thinned down.  Then it would look more like other CZ metal framed pistols.  Might be cheaper, too.  You'd have to refinish it, or polish it and keep it well oiled to prevent corrosion.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Providing that everything else with the slide is correct and lines up as it should then this ^^^ is exactly the way to go about it. If you ruin a hammer it's a relatively cheap part to replace and easy to find. If you wreck a slide you've basically created a spare parts gun as CZ slides are not easy to come by and when they do show up for sale they cost a bit. Right now I assume your 75BD is a viable functioning firearm so I would not take the chance on permanently disabling it.
