85 Combat problem solved
« on: November 25, 2020, 12:02:30 PM »
I purchased a Kadet 2 for my 85 and wanted another slide stop to go with it. The kit came with 2 slide stops. Both are too short on the shaft to fully engage the right side slide release. One has the leg that sits on the magazine notch that is too short. The other has a leg that is longer and hits the notch perfectl
I tig welded and extension to the 75 shaft and shaped to fit the right side release. Tested and operates both 9mm and .22 mags

Next slide release is for an 85 Combat. The shaft is the correct length, but the leg that sits on the magazine notch is too short to engage it.

Again tig welded an extension and shaped with needle files. Operates perfectly with both style mags. Both slide locks work! I have a spare now

I called cz usa and they sent me a pcr slide stop free. Works great in my po1 it’s a little longer. The stock kadet slide stop works in my 85 and sp01

Way to go OP!

I just use my regular slide stop from the cz85c for the kadet2 !
No idea whether the Kit's shorter slide stop will work.
