I added the M Carbo kit to my brand new and unfired 75 Compact.

Before:
DA = 10#-14 oz
SA= 4#-7 oz

After:
DA= 7# 6 oz
SA= 2#-11 oz

Have you fired since installing the kit? Post an update when you do.

No, but I’m heading to the range tonight with high expectations :)

200 rounds of various reloads down the pipe with zero issues. Nearly Flawless!  I ran a some really light reloads and I had a few FTE but that was expected with light loads. No fault of the pistol. I thought I had trigger reset issues with the lighter trigger return spring until I noticed the FTE, duh!

I personally like the mcarbo spring kits except for the TRS. Like stated, the trigger is too slow to reset and is too light IMO. I have used their kits  my CZ and Beretta, but always ended up replacing the Mcarbo TRS with one from either CGW or in the case of the Beretta, Langdon Tactical.

I do agree that the MCarbo spring kits are a great starting point. They are inexpensive, good quality, and will make a difference in the feel of the pistol, but if you ever get the chance to shoot a CZ that has been tuned by CGW, you will not want to go back.

I dunno, I've got 2 CGW pro kitted guns, an SP01 and PCR. I've also polished and tuned 3 other CZs myself: CZ97 , P01 and a steel framed P01. I installed the MCarbo spring kit in the P01. Aside from the longer trigger throw in the P01 (since I didn't install the CGW short reset trigger like all my others have), there's really no difference in any of my CZs and in fact I've gone back and repolished the guns CGW has worked on. My point being that if one is OK polishing the internals of a CZ him/herself and installing an MCarbo spring kit and maybe a short reset trigger you've got a gun as good as CGW will get back to you and you've saved a ton of time and money and learned a bunch about your gun.

I added the Mcarbo kit to my P01, I followed along with their Youtube video.  tested trigger pull at different stages

Before springs
3lb 4oz avg of 7 for SA
7lb 11.4oz avg of 7 for DA

Hammer spring, FP Spring, FP Block spring
3lb 4oz avg of 7 for SA
7lb 7.2oz avg of 7 for DA

Add light sear spring
3lb 5.3oz avg of 7 for SA
6lb 10oz avg of 7 for DA

finish with adding light trigger return spring
2lb 4oz avg of 7 for SA
5lb 10.7oz avg of 7 for DA

I polished some internals, not a whole lot.
Don't know that I would want the trigger any lighter.  Several hundred rounds through it since with no issues.

Actually, I did not send my pistols to CGW. I polished the internals and installed the CGW kit myself. I enjoy the process of learning how everything works on my pistols, and love how the CGW kits improve the pistol. I do like the MCarbo spring kits, but CGW kits do more, but their parts are much more expensive. It is worth the cost IMO.

You guys and your 2 lb triggers. Ugh. I like my 2 lb Volquartsen trigger in my speed steel 22. I don’t want that in any gun I might use for real. Chasing the lightest SA pull possible is not the best idea in the world on a non comp gun.  Disclaimer, none of my CZ’s are dedicated match guns. They are all setup for real world use and get used in matches. I’ve played with springs and polishing and finally settled on CGW pro package and polishing. The reduced reach and short reset alone make it worth the price of admission. I actually have some heavy lifter springs coming to slightly increase SA pull weight. They shouldn’t affect the crisp break but add a bit of weight because they are close t9 being too light for carry for me. To each his own I suppose.

Mine are actually around 3 lbs. I mainly carry my P365 and pocket carry a Ruger LCP2 with triggers in the 5 lb. range, but I do like a light trigger around 3 lbs. for guns that I enjoy shooting at the range.

I hear you. My CZ’s are in the 3lb range. For 3 bucks I’m going to change out the lifter spring and see if I like it. I also hate how easy it is to destroy the stock lifter spring because it’s so tiny. I’ve mangled a couple and the thicker “heavy” spring seems to address two issues so I gave it a shot. (And bought more stock lifter springs as well lol)
