« on: November 02, 2020, 04:40:48 PM »
PICKED UP A P01 OMEGA ON FRIDAY, TOOK IT TO THE RANGE TODAY, REAL NICE SHOOTER, GOOD TRIGGER. WITH AMMO THE WAY IT IS PUT MAYBE 150 ROUNDS THROUGH IT NO ISSUES AT ALL.
AND HAD A HOLSTER FOR A SPRINGFIELD XDS - FITS THE OMEGA LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR IT, A BONUS, DON'T HAVE TO GET A HOLSTER FOR IT!

Congrats and welcome to the P01 club. It’s been my daily carry for the last few years.

Just a heads up macktheknife, on the internet, typing in all caps is the equivalent of screaming. If your intent is not to scream everything that you write, i suggest avoiding all caps. No disrespect intended, just letting you know.

Gratz on the new CZ, may it run flawlessly.

Tok36 no disrespect but "wright" is not the correct word to use in your sentence.  Just letting you know.

On the holster, its a leather pancake by Bullard. Gun sticks out of the bottom by 1/4 inch or so. I will get a proper one for this pistol but for now it does the trick.

As always a great video from HO, and he brings out some EXCELLENT points about the CZ design.  Despite my experience with bad OTB triggers, fragile TRS design - they are amazingly shootable.

The P01 is pretty old now though.  Almost 20 years - and still great.  A few comments.  No one does grip checkering that I know of.  MAYBE CZ custom can, but I would think it would be very expensive.  Re: his "they come with a safety too" comment.  Having the old style decocker (which BTW does not convert and no P02s aren't out there anymore) makes it much harder to work on.  'Sending it off' to have work done is about another $350+ affair.  Having an Omega you can easily work on is better - especially if you break the TRS.
