So, how much demand is there for an original KADET Kit ?

Given the shortages of the KADET 2 Kit on-line
How in-demand would a (Gen 1) KADET Kit be today ?
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

for people without omega lockwork pistols, the original is just as good of an option as the Kadet II, so there should be plenty of demand.

Does CZ-USA not have continuous production/do they just ship out new product in batches? I get that impression from some of what I read...

My kadet 2 came as a whol pistol . Why don’t they make that way any more? Just sell the slide for the same price?

CZ-USA is not the manufacturer. They are the importer, and a wholly owned subsidiary of CZ-UB.

We get what the mothership sends us, when they decide to send it. ;)

The subsidiary part has not been true for quite some time. UB went from being a "parent" company to being a "sister" company. They are now both owned by the same holding company and on equal corporate footing as for as organizational structure goes. Of course there is more to it than that, but CZ-USA is not owned by CZ-UB. CZ-USA also has been manufacturing and/or assembling some items for quite awhile. Though the Kadet kit is made by UB.

From the CZ Group website - organizational structure and media releases.. the primary production source and sales (latter has been the US for a few years now), etc. I believe only some P-10 pistols do not have a “Made in Czech Republic” marking to date.

Thanks for the correction.

I understand that CZ-USA manufactures some items and they have some items modified by other companies like CZC, but for the most part they are dependent of CZ-UB for inventory.

What is the status of the factory that was in the works?

Np. Indeed, majority of CZ stuff still comes from outside the US. That will change some with the new factory. As far as that goes 2020/COVID delayed all sorts of things. I think there was a press release awhile back that said something about that. Basically that it will still happen, just got pushed back some.
