Is Tristar stopping it's production of Canik CZ Clones?
« on: October 02, 2020, 07:10:20 PM »
For the life of me I CAN'T find these guns ANYWHERE.  I've only seen a couple auctions on Gun Broker and there's absolutely no stock on any gun dealers online.  I've been wanting to find a T-120/ Canik 55 Shark FC for a project gun but I've had no luck whatsoever.  It's also frustrating since the model I'm after seems to be the only full-size steel slide/aluminum alloy frame clone that exists (please feel free to correct me on this if I missed another option.)

Is anyone else having trouble finding these guns?  Tristar has never been my favorite importer (I really wish Canik would import these guns along with their TP9 polymer pistols and maybe update them some while they're at it).

The full line up of models is still on the Tristar Arms homepage.  With the current gun buying panic, lots of models are hard to find, esp. the reasonably priced ones.
I've found that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties.

I'm well aware of that, but I haven't seen ANY listed for over 3 months.  Tristar's shotguns seem to be the main thing they're importing now.

As well as the TriStar/Canik Cz Clones have sold, I don't expect them to be discontinued anytime soon.
It is true that Polymer Framed Striker Fired Pistols now dominate most of the Handgun Market.
However, there is still quite a market for traditional metal framed DA/SA Handguns.

With the current Gun Buying Panic going on, there's not a lot to choose from, except less popular models.
Prices on everything have also been driven up by demand, so now is not the time to buy.
I have a few Guns still on my "wants" list, but I can afford to wait for things to settle down.

Inventory at many dealers and distributors is simply gone!  The Distributor I used to work for and still do business with,
has told me that he no longer has ANY stock and is shipping items the same day he gets them.

The TriStar/Canik L120 is full-sized steel slide/alloy frame. It has classic CZ-75 lines - no rail. One went for $380 GB recently.

I'm aware of that model, but it's discontinued and doesn't have a rail like the P-120 (steel model) and T-120 (Jericho look-alike with alloy frame.)

Any news on these? I haven't seen new stock on these in forever.

Looking for a T-100.

I'm really starting to suspect they've been discontinued or at least maybe limited to special orders from distributors.

Did a search for you on Gun Deals:  https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/713780851099
Note the ones in the lower block that are sold out!

Only one dealer has any and does have a selection of TriStar Pistols in Stock, so enough with the rumors!  https://www.johnsmilitiagear.com/products/tristar-713780851099-3364

If you truly want one, you had better get on the horse and ride for it now!!!   ;)
That stock probably won't last long.

The C100 is the lightest da/Sa alloy frame gun available and good quality.  Biggest negative is holster support.

Simply Rugged made one for my C-100, also for my SP-101.
