How to Tune, Smooth and Upgrade the P-10 (Discussion)

700 -800 rds since the 10300's been installed, no previous polishing's been done.
I went with a CGW trigger as I don't really care for straight trigger's, but combined
with the striker, the trigger characteristics are excellent with a wall break @ 4.14
The break at a very defined wall is excellent, I'd just like to ease it up a little, if
possible, without sacrificing elsewhere.
The gun's reliable, crazy accurate, I shoot it quicker, more precisely than anything else
and carry it AIWB 14/7, I don't want to tip over the apple cart chasing a few ounces
either, kinda been down that road before...

My Apex mag release and HBI reduced power springs showed up
in Friday's mail so, I did some polishing and parts swap yesterday.
Pretty much a light clean up with 1500 and then 2000 grit except
a pretty high polish on the striker, including the shaft, my original
intent was to put in the -15% spring but noticed the -10 was .25"
shorter than the old 3.5 HBI (?) I took out and decided to give it a try.
I wound up with a pretty nice 4.3lb, 10 pull average with 1/2 a mag
full of snap caps, nice smooth take up to the wall with a clean break,
and that little bit of a harsh bump right at the break is gone.
A mix of Lawman, Magtech, S&B, Winchester and HST' ran 100%
The mag release is a huge improvement, mag's fly out and it releases
full mags with a chambered round, no issues.
I expect I might try the -15 spring some time but, I'm pretty pleased
with the results.

I bought a CGW 10320 reduced pull striker when they first came out. Had it installed for a short time then went back to the stock striker. I now see they no longer offer the 10320. Anyone know why? Any known issues with 10320?

There were some issues when installed in the P10F, none when used in the P10C.

My guess is that the variations in different P10F's were too much to overcome, but you'd have to ask Scott or David directly. When I talked to Scott, he said there weren't any 10320 issues reported by P10C owners so I decided to keep the 10320 in my pistol instead of swapping for a 10300. I already had a 10300 anyway and didn't need another one.

I've removed my 320 from my P-10S and went back to the 300.  There must be enough variation in the CZ parts to result in some problems -- not quite enough sear engagement? -- when combined with the 320, that don't cause any problems when using the 300 striker.  I think I still have the 320 in my P-10F and it has been fine.  I don't remember installing a 320 in my P-10C since it was a carry gun anyway.  I only had the 320 striker in my P-10S for long range shooting demonstrations, range only, and I didn't carry it with the 320 installed, reverting back to my P-07 for carry instead.  My P-10S has been phenomenally good, even with the 300 striker installed.  I shot both the P-10F and P-10S at 100 yards last week with no problems at all.

Same reason why I removed the 320 from my P10 C.  I started caring it and with a HBI trigger installed it really didn't need any extra help.  I like to shoot it at matches and just drop it into another holster and carry it home.

My P10C has occasional doubles with the 300 striker.  I recently took it out and put the stock (but polished) striker back in.  I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.  The pull feels good and is about he same weight--low 4lb range--as the 300.  I am using the CGW trigger.

I've continued to tune my P-10C.  I actually never fired the gun again with the stock striker because I ordered and installed a suarez before I could get to the range.  I had a double with this striker and a 4 lb glock striker spring.  I put in the CGW 10300 with a 4.5 lb glock spring and had a double.  I then installed the suarez striker with a glock 5 lb spring and the gun runs well.  The pull weight is 5 lbs but the break and reset are nice and no doubles!  I'm going to run it this way for a while.

I had 2 doubles with the light spring running at about 3.6 but stuck with it. It takes some muscle memory after being used to a heavier trigger. Never had a double with my CZ TSO and you can breath on that trigger and make it go. Difference is my mind and finger know it after shooting it a while.

I polished up a p10c fully stock but newer production 2020.

Trigger pulls are under 5 pounds. I'm getting an average of 4 pounds 8 ounces.
