Most reliable round for RAMI

   Hello. New here and to CZ. Anyone want to suggest or recommend the most reliable round for the Rami?

 I have tried them all and what holds true for a majority of short barrelled automatics, is true for RAMI.
A cartridge with a most "pointed" bullet is the best. It makes sense as the short slide/barrel arrangements would favor a round that would easily glide on a loading ramp.from the magazine into the chamber.
A cartridge with a conically shaped bullet will be positioned at the top of magazine and the bullet shape will mirror the shape of the loading ramp thus  making it easier to slide in. A cartridge with a round bullet or truncated bullet will tend to hang on the edge of loading ramp risking a jam. I remember buying a Corbon ammo one time and their round bullet configuration cause a jam almost every shot.
In sum, I only use ammunition with XTP JHP bullets and they are brand named for Hornady ammunition but also found in Fiocchi rounds. This is just my opinion but it is supported by close to 35 years of target shooting.

The ones that feed reliably with the most reliable primers. Seriously.

It is definitely true that you can find commercial loads that won't feed reliably, if at all.  And it is possible to find users here in the forums that can tell you that bullet Make/Model XYZ will not work in a Rami.  But there is no one who has done the exhaustive research to say that Bullets x,y,z fail 600 out of 1000, a,b,c fail to feed 100 out of 1000, while d,e,f fail 50 out of 1000, while g,h,i fail 10 out of 1000, while j,k,l fail only 1 out of 10000, etc.. 

The reality is that if a certain commercial load isn't failing a lot, it probably isn't failing at all so long as you can say that (A) you are buying from a major commercial entity (Federal, Winchester, Hornady, etc.) where quality control is high, thus you have consistency from lot to lot, and (B) you are doing your part of keeping the pistol well-maintained. 

If you have something in mind, fish around here, as you are right now, to see if people use that particular make/model in their Rami.  Or just pay attention to responses in this thread to see what other people are using.  Just from the last poster's response, I would have complete confidence that Hornady XTP work well.  But I would be equally confident that there are lots more that also work as well. 

I am partial to Barnes TAC-XPD bullets for defense, so I would start there if it were me.  I'd buy one box and see how it goes.  Second option would be Federal HST.

For PRACTICE, I'd buy any inexpensive reputable 124gr RN.

I don't have a Rami but the place to start is ammo that fits your barrel. The stock CZ barrel is fairly particular about the ammo it will chamber. You can read about this idea in the Stickies above if you care to know. BUT a lot of your high-dollar, fancy, as-seen-on-YouTube ammo with fancy names (like "Buffalo Bore") won't even chamber, much less feed. So don't get carried away. Stay with the FBI-tested brands: Federal, Speer, Remington and Hornady. If law enforcement doesn't buy it, then neither should you.

I'm carrying 135gr Federal HST and/or 147gr Speer Gold Dot for 2-legged critters. This ammo fits my SP01, P10c and P01, so I feel highly confident it will be OK in a Rami. I load my own 124gr Berry Hybrid Hollow Point for animal (fox, snake, coyote) control.

You ask a tough question.  Ammo for what purpose?  Practice ammo any good 124gr FMJ will work well.  Defensive ammo with hollow points, each gun is a law unto itself.  XTPs are good bullets as are gold-dots.  Most loads made with them (commercial) will reliably feed in virtually any 9mm designed for hollow-points. (Older firearms pre-1970 were designed for FMJs and before hollow-points were even much of a thing).  You will still need to try and find out if your pistol likes them.  Have seen pairs of pistols with consecutive serial numbers not be able to use the same defensive ammo.
