Hi guys,
I’m recieving my cz 457 LRP soon, but after watching some YT gun cleaning vids, some say you need a bore guide.
Can you guys advise me one? Or will any ebay guide for cz do?
Thanks

I haven't owned a 457 but Bore Tech number 92 and Possum Hollow (available thru Brownells) both list there 452/453/455 bore guides as usable with the 457 series rifles. I have a Possum Hollow 17 caliber bore guide for the 452 and 455 series rifles and it works well. With the earlier series rifles (452-455) it was recommended to use 20 or 17 caliber rods and bore guides to keep the rods from dragging over the actions ejector which would happen if you used a 22 caliber diameter rod. I don't know if the same problem happens with a 457 series rifle or not though.

The .22 diameter rod clears the ejector on my late MTR 457. Still good to use a guide rod, although I don't have one for this rifle yet myself.
