I personally would not want CZUB to attempt to make a “faithful” reproduction of the short-rail. Let the Legend be what it was. After all, Made in Czechoslovakia wouldn’t apply [emoji3]. The short rail also lacked a “half-cocked” safety until very near the end of its run. I can see them contemplating something limited for the 50th anniversary though.

The extension of the slide and dust cover thickness was an improvement necessitated for durability and safety with the use of cast frames starting in 1979.
