well today, was the first time since i bought my 97B back in June of 2020, and as of this morning, 850 rds of 230 grain ammo, that the LCI was "looser".
everytime i'd shoot, then clean (i clean after EVERY range visit) i always try to see if the tiny allen screw is loose.
never, always been nice and tight.
well today, when i checked it, i was actually able to unscrew it, with so very little effort.
now, i had paid attention to others here, about that tiny allen screw working it's way loose, but in the beginning, it was so tight, i had figured that CZ had indeed applied the locktite to it, before shipping, as it's build date was a short time, before i bought it.
so i took it apart, fully cleaned the entire area, and reassembled, which for the first time, it is a PITA.
but i did not leave out the LCI spring or "push rod".
and i did of course apply loctite blue as well.
as a matter of precaution, months ago, after reading about this issue, i had applied a thin strip of black electrical tape over the allen screw.
when i finished cleaning, and lubing, another thin strip of tape went over the allen screw again.
but yeah, everything is so tiny, if you ain't careful, you will most certainly lose all those parts.
i am grateful, that i had in the very beginning, applied that thin strip of tape. i think that today, could have been the day, that allen screw could have fallen out, to the unknown cracks and crevices in the shooting range floor.
