SIG P220 .30 Luger
« on: June 02, 2021, 03:28:25 PM »
The SIG P220 in 9mm Parabellum has been the Swiss Army sidearm since 1975, hence designated as the P75 by the army. It replaced the P210 / P49. I was also widely used by police forces across the country, and a good number were built for civilian and sport use. As the Swiss used the 7.65 mm Parabellum cartridge previously in the Swiss Luger, it has remained a popular caliber ever since.

I recently found a nice / almost new P220 in this caliber

With my Police (gendarmerie) surplus 9mm from 1977

The early models had a ridge on the top front of the slide. They are locally referred to as « butt crack » models.

another congrats on a nice find.....

I have one in the 45ACP and 9mm.  I found out that SIG redesigned it from the ground up so to speak to eat 45 ball/HP.

I found one in 9mm and with the OEM 22LR conversion so, that is really cool for me and my 22LR collection.  Its been only shot in 22LR.

It looks like you have the OEM 1 piece wood grips?   Around here those are $$$.  the guy i bought my 9mm/22 conversion  from told me to keep them in 1 piece if i can, but mine broke a few years later.  They were not on the gun but stored separately...so much for good intentions..

mine has only had 22LR shot through it....and i was lucky to find some OEM 22LR mags way back then.

how does your shoot
