Got to shoot a Walther PDP Compact on Wednesday...at 100 yards
« on: September 09, 2021, 07:54:46 AM »
This went well!  A shooting buddy of mine brought his new PDP out to the rifle range today, zeroed his Holosun 507c red dot sight at 25 yards, went to the 100 yard line and took a few shots with a top edge hold, got a few hits, so I asked if I could try 5 rounds with it.  With the dot a little too bright on its auto setting, I couldn't hold center 2" red square just perfectly, but I got all 5 shots close to the expected impact point--which was 4 to 8" lower than a 25 yard zero.  Here is the target.

The trigger is fantastic and they must have duplicated CZ's tolerances as far as slide to barrel lock up.  My friend is ecstatic over his new gun, as he should be.

Nice shooting!
Triggers on the Walthers are pretty sweet. My wife and I shot a game of "Battleship" with a PPQ in 9mm. She beat me and then had the nerve to say, "I don't really like the gun that much".
