Anyone wanna take bets on how many people are going to reply to this email telling me I got the holiday wrong before they even read it? 

Yeah, I know that Monday isn't Memorial Day.  But let's be honest, right now I think a Memorial Day is more appropriate.  At this point, most of us have some sort of connection to people who spent time in foreign countries fighting and sometimes dying.  Many, while thinking of those we lost, have been forced to ask themselves some version of the question, "What did they die for?"

Was it all for nothing?

While I don't doubt that arguments can be made that the actual fight was or was not worth fighting, I don't think that those who we lost sacrificed anything in vain.  While I may be angry about the way things have been handled, I believe that there is a silver lining in every dark cloud.  Right now we are dealing with the storm that's pouring from that nasty cloud but eventually there will be that silver lining shining through the rain.  I believe that we must hold on to some hope that their payment in blood will buy us something we can be thankful for.  I know I am a different and better person than I would be without their sacrifice.  We can allow this moment and their service to make us stronger, wiser, and better.  This weekend let's invite their memory to linger in our minds and change us into the people they would want us to be.  Let's make this weekend a Memorial Day weekend for their sake and for our own.

EDIT: For some reason, they are not listing 115gr 9mm bullets on their site. I thought at first maybe it's because they are backordered. But when I looked at some 124gr ones, they were listed as out of stock, back orderable. So that ain't it. Anyone know what's going on? I got some 115gr 9mm's from them a couple of months ago.

I would contact them via email today because their sale announcement email specifically shows 115gr FMJ and not the 124gr...

For that price, I’d rather buy the 124 Gr JHP from precision delta for an additional $4 (without discount) @ $111/1000.

Or order 2000 pieces of the PD 124 JHP for $212 shipped which equates to $0.106/bullet.

Then I can reload and shoot them on my compensated guns without the risk of leading the comp compared to the open base FMJs.

Speaking only for myself I prefer to give my business to this entrepenour even if it costs me a few bucks more. Jake was with us solidly during the "shortages" and conducted business in a rational and stand up manner.

There was one time there was a problem with a delivery of bullets and Jake called me from his car on the way to work to straighten it out.

Yeah, those brass ones are a bit pricey. RMR's prices on 124 copper FMJ's is cheaper than the brass also.

True, they're good folks and good to work with. I wish they could revamp their system not to charge until they ship, but it was worth it to know the bullets are coming sooner or later.
