He can't PM, but he can look in the classifieds like everyone else if he's wanting to buy on the forum.

Good luck! I had a hard time finding anything that would work for that round 25 years ago and ended up buying a mold and size die to cast my own slugs. With the shortages of common rounds who knows if anything exists.
Aim Surplus does show some new manufacture factory rounds if you are in short supply of loaded ammo.

Right, thanks, I didn't notice the post count. I would have said something similar, but I didn't want to be rude to a potential buyer. I don't think you should have deleted the content of my post, though.

We do not permit redirects to ads in sub-forums. It's posted in the classifieds' rules. If we did, in the end, the sub-forums would be nothing but a list of 'Hey, I'm selling my XXX in the classifieds, if anyone's looking for one'.

Are you referring to this rule?:
-Do not add "notices" in the individual boards to the classifieds if you have something to sell.

If so, I misunderstood the intent of the rule, which seems to indicate one should not pro-actively start a thread in sub-forums referring to their classifieds. I did not even make a general statement of "Look for my ad in case you are in the market for XXX".  I responded to an inquiry, which I do not think violates that rule (I admit I was unaware of the rule). If so, clarification is required as to how a member should respond. Do we say "Look in the classifieds, there may be an ad for such a thing."? Or what? Nothing? Do we wait for another member to say "Hey ____ has some for sale? Or would that be a violation too?

We use our common sense and do not post what was for all intents and purposes an ad outside the classifieds. A simple 'I'm selling some in the classifieds' would suffice in answer to this question. If you can't grasp the difference, I don't know what to tell you.

Wow. Totally misunderstood the intention. I am looking for a recommendation for a retail source that may sell the items mentioned. Not at all looking to trade on this forum. I see these requests constantly on this forum. Just read a six page discussion after  a member asked where he might find CZ 83 magazines. Weird why this was singled out. Sorry for the confusion. I will never ever make an inquiry for assistance like this again.

No harm, no foul on your part.

A learning experience for everyone.

Grendel, isn't this what I essentially said in my post? (It has been deleted, so I don't have my exact words.)

You listed what you were selling, which is why I edited it out. Let's move on please.

Ok, if I had left that out, it would have been OK? I will move on, after one more comment.

In the OP's last post just above , he said :

I have bolded the really relevant part. I could probably point to a dozen posts in the past year or so that ends like this, with a new person who has asked a question, stating something along the lines of "Wow, I'll never do that again here". There is also a recent thread on here wondering about the downturn in activity and traffic here. I have been a member here for 12 years, have participated in online activities with other members, conducted several smooth sales and purchases, donated money when asked, won prizes in giveaways, gave some stuff away for free, always tried to give valuable input where I could, and shared parts of my life with others. However, what I have seen lately is moderation which is quick to pick out minor infractions, delete posts, end threads, and cut off conversation, all with a quite heavy-handed, sharp, and authoritarian manner. It makes me wonder if their is a connection to the downturn in traffic. Do with that what you will.

You can probably close this, Coach Ed probably doesn't care to stick around.
