Threaded Barrel
« on: October 14, 2021, 07:48:29 AM »
Hello,

Looking to suppress my SP01 Tactical. Has anyone tried the CZC match threaded barrel? Would they be a better investment than the OEM CZ barrel? Every place seems to be OOS at the moment, but I do have about 9 months to wait anyway. Any recommendations for suppressor height sights as well? I have two of these, and do not really want to purchase a UG suppressor ready model. Thanks for reading.

Just picked up a CZC match threaded barrel (SKU 30123) up and had it fit to an SP01 but I  don’t plan on running a suppressor on it so can’t help you there.

I was planning on starting a separate thread on my experience with the barrel itself but I will try to remember to update this with my results once I take it out and shoot it.

Initial impressions are that the fitment is great. A slight annoyance is that the barrel recoil lug doesn’t have a dimple for the guide rod to rest in the guide rod is just half on half off.  I’m sure it functions just fine without it but it does bother me (probably more than it should). On an SP01 the barrel does extend maybe 1/2” (from memory) beyond the slide before the threading starts which, in my very limited understanding, should be advantageous for suppressor and booster compatibility.

Also have a UG suppressor-ready P01 and I really like the sights it came with, I just sharpie out the rear tritium dots for an all black rear (sharpie can be just wiped off with some isopropanol to restore them to back to original condition). These OEM ones are available on the CZ-USA website but you likely have to wait a while for them to be in stock. Dawson Precision should have plenty of options for non-tritium sights of all heights as well.
