P09 Magazine
« on: October 20, 2021, 12:52:17 AM »
Hi all,

I recently picked up a used p09 only to find out that the 10rd mags are illegal in my state in Australia due to been crimped and not manufactured as a 10rd magazine, So the gunshop won't allow me to take the mags home. - Incredibly stupid law I know. So this now will leave me with a pistol but no mags.

I do however have a SP01 and a few SP01 10rd legal mags do these at all fit? I have read online and I can't find a straight answer. Has anyone got any experience using 75 mags in the p09?

Thanks all :)

Understand that older models could use them.  My P-07 uses standard mags and will not use the new ones.

Good luck.

Here you have interesting reading... however it still doesn't give clear answer.

And here you have link to CZ mag compatibility:

Thanks for all the replies,
I did some more reading (Like 8 hours worth) and it seems the 75 mags would fit in the P09 but they need to be longer so I've 3D printed a new longer base plate (that still keeps the mag limit at 10) that from my reading should solve that issue. I also plan to ether widen up the base plate or make a internal sleeve to stop the wiggle I see people mention but that will be once I collect the pistol in a few days.
I also intend on making up a new mag release with a larger catch point if I find my mags drop out. - Lots of work but gotta keep it legal here :)

If anyone is at all interested in getting in of these base plates that should allow the use of 75 mags in the P09/P10F feel free to PM, Happy to supply the STL files once its out of testing.
