have a project goin...and some questions about CZ rimfires..

thinkin about making a "tactical 22 setup" :P

i really have a hard time finding anywhere around my house that i can shoot a 308 at (and have it actually be challenging) about the most i normally have access to is probably 300m or so. so...since i do like shooting oh so much...heres what i want.

a setup that weighs in approx. the same as a remington LTR w/scope and all (about 10lbs) has to be accurate.
dont want to spend too much $$ (low budget for this thing)

so far im leaning towards the CZ 452 Silhoulette. aparantly people are having great results with these.

i think they run about 250-300 or so

so...my questions:

1.) which CZ rimfire is the "most accurate"?
2.) how are the synthetic stocks?  cheap?  decent?
3.) whats the twist rate on each rifle?  any of them shoot Aguila SSS 60grs worth anything?

thanks

The LTR weight about 7.5lb, the 700P, or police is 9.5lb.

If you notice the LTR is almost the same weight as the Varmint.  The Silhouette is 5.5lb and is way too light to simulate the LTR.  My friend has the Varmint and he loves it.  Shoot great too.  I have a special which I shoot with iron sight, so I never really try to put a 24x scope and try to see how accurate it really is.  I'm sure it shoots better than my aim.

I'm not sure about the twist rate, but I don't think it is 1:9, which is required to shoot the SSS.  However, this is second hand information.   I'll stick a cleaning rod in and measure it, if you really interested.

Good luck...
Pat

yeah, i did notice that the varmit was about the same weight as a LTR.  i dont want a wood stock though.  i wonder, they dont make the varmit w/synthetic stock do they?

anyhow, i would still like some help with the other questions i had.  (about the quality of the syn. stocks, and about the different model choices.)

thanks!
