Firing pin roll pin issue

My CZ 75 Compact suddenly started giving light strikes. Very quickly, over the course of 50 rounds, almost all strikes were light. Upon examination, I found this big dent in the firing pin roll pin.
How common is this issue?
Should I replace all of my roll pins prophylactically for more durable ones?

Yes,  you should be inspecting firing retaining pin and replacing it when signs of wear.  The cgw retaining pin is far superior than the oem pin but it still should be inspected regularly during detail maintenance (annually).

Lots of dry fire will accelerate the wear.

   This is a well know weakness in the CZ 75 variant design. The CZ Factory Firing Pin Retaining Pin is a wear part and will eventually fail. I have seen this many times in others CZs and a few times in my own CZs. I have pulled significantly damaged FPRPs out of unfired factory stock CZ pistols.

Cajun Gun Works offers an improved FPRP. This pin is sufficient for most CZ owners. For consistent, long term, high volume dry fire, a rubber O ring placed behind the Fring Pin is advised.

what Tok said!  dry firing on an empty chamber can cause much faster wear and tear on the parts in movement. i use rubber tubing to place at the back of the slide to cushion the hammer strike. Stays in place much better than orings if you get the slightly oversize tubing and it wedges in the slide.

one has to be cautious of firing retaining pin and replace it when the signs wear, the retaining pin is way more than the oem pin and it still should still be watched closely while maintaining always
