Work is done. Its on its way back. Supposed to be here on Friday. It just so happens I took Friday off work before I even knew.

Looking forward to your Range Report on it!  :)

So FedEx didn't do me any favors and Friday turned into Wednesday. Saw what you will about the USPS but 95% of the time packages arrive when they are supposed to. The cut in the slide wasn't exactly what I was going for. I heard we are going to call before we cut but I was apparently the only one that heard that. Now I need to figure out some kind of filler. The dot also needs shimmed to get the correct point of impact. To be fair, it says on thier site that shimming may be required. The machining is excellent and i they did exactly what i ordered for an optic they haven't done before. Anyway I finally shot the pistol today. While it was away I bought a 9mm barrel and mags. Since there is no shim for the dot I was really just testing the 9mm barrel and mags in my .40 slide. So far its ran like a champ but I have only shot about 4 mags through it.

Didn't mean to leave you hanging. Lol. So unbeknownst to me there are commercially available shims to fix sight in problems. I figured out roughly how high the front of the dot needed raised and then made a shim out of thin abs and apoxie sculpt putty. Seems to bring point of aim point of impact back into alignment and is holding up so far. I made two holsters for it. They are my second and third holsters for a red dot sighted pistol. One is an OWB with a teclock. Its my first holster with a teclock. No cant adjustment but there is adjustment for ride height. The other is an IWB with soft loops. No ride hide adjustment but it has cant adjustment. It's the first holster I've made with a wing to push the grip into your body more. Both holsters are extended past the slide in case I'm using the extended 9mm barrel. The OWB is extended farther than IWB.

so as of last time i researched reddots on pistols the consensus was anything other than triji rmrs wereent worth it... how well do these sigs hold up under recoil abuse etc?

in my mind, this is the perfect answer to "the retarded midget slide" of the cz75 complaint as spoken by colion noir.  not that he is the authority on all things, but it stuck in my head, as its funny, andi love 75s

I can't really answer that. I haven't shot the gun enough to say how well the sight will hold up. Ot has maintained zero so far. I can say if you buy an optic sighted SIG P365 you get this dot. I recently watched a video with Dave Spaulding in which he tested a Bushnell sight. In that video he talked about it being defense capable but maybe not duty capable. I kind of look at it like him it just needs to be defense capable for me.
