Why Does???????

 the search feature take me to the whole section and when I click on a particular thread it goes back to the whole section again instead of that thread. I've tried both search tabs, the one on the top of the page to the right and the one next to profile on the left. Is it me that can't figure this out, more than likely??? Thanks

I agree, the BACK arrow takes you out of the search results to where you were before you searched.
It was annoying when I first did it, but learned to work around it:

I have a sequence that I now use when going through the search results for multiple threads: 

1. Right-click and open the found link in another window/tab
2. When done with it close that tab and go back to the Search results.
