Sad news for Missouri Bullet Co

Seen on another shooting board...

Quote
I saw on Facebook this evening that Jo Ann Alpert, the voice behind the phone at Missouri Bullet Co., passed away March 27. I don't know what from.

Her husband and co-owner, Brad, died in October 2020 from cancer.

I had the privilege of meeting them about 10 years ago. Good people and great 2A supporters.

Rest in peace.

No news on what this means for MBC bullet production. I know they had a large staff, but it's unclear if the company will be sold or taken over by family members.

Back in better days (2010). Brad on the left and Jo Ann on the right, with Missouri's Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe.

Nice article explaining.... http://missouribullet.com/assets/source/MBC2018_%20dailystarjournal.com.pdf

So sad indeed. I never had the privilege of actually meeting them in person; but I always liked working with MBC. Great family and great staff.

For me it's a "local" purchase too which is always nice.

Very sad indeed. MBC was my go-to company. I found them to be the most consistent, reliable, and fair-priced. I hope the company continues on.

I love that part of the story where they decided to use only USPS Flat Rate boxes. And within the first year the PO was having to send a special truck, just to their address.

I ordered one of their "Bundles" one time. Basically it was about 3000 bullets that totaled right up to the 70lb USPPS weight limit. I had it delivered to my work address as a joke. We had this 90lb secretary that delivered the mail every afternoon. One day I got a call, "Can you come down here, there's a box for you that I can't lift !"
