Tight bushing barrel installation

I just received a new 10x barrel bushing from CGW and after it has been installed there is not enough clearance for the installation of the barrel. I have a CZ75b and just simply cannot reinstall the barrel after this new bushing has been installed. Any idea how to make this happen?

Lots of lube, then wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.  It should eventually go in.  IF ALL ELSE fails a LIGHT, i repeat LIGHT tap with a soft face hammer.

After it has a few rounds down the barrel it will loosen up a little, but it should remain tighter than factory.

Glad to hear, they are tight BUT that is the point!  As I said, it will get a little looser with use.

I just had the same experience a few days ago installing the barrel bushing on a 75b sa. I  got it in with a light tap from a nylon hammer, but it's also going to take some light tapping if I want to  remove the barrel for cleaning and I  usually disassemble and clean after every range visit.
I searched GGW website for for information regarding the tight fit while I was doing the installation and found no mention.  However,  in the comment  section of their YouTube video showing the bushing installation the company mentions a few models that may require slight modification to install.

Different pistols are different.

I've installed 2 of them and not had an issue with them being "too tight."  CZ75SA 9MM and a CZ75 Compact (one of the steel P01 looking frames.)  Maybe one other, it seems like there were three but I can't remember which pistol I put the other one in.

Just a few thousands on both pieces (bigger on the barrel, smaller on the bushing ID) and you've got an issue.

Mine still require a light tap with a plastic tipped hammer to install, and a light tap on the muzzle to remove. One even caused enough drag to slow the slide. On that one, I turned the barrel down slightly behind the area that locks up with the bushing for added clearance. They're all a little different.

On the ones of mine that are tight I oil the end of the barrel before removal, then just wiggle it out.  That works on mine and they did improve accuracy..

You can also file a “slightly” larger area than already exists at the base of the slide where the cartridge seats in the slide, below where the firing pin hole is, on tight fitting barrel after the 10x bushing is installed that is where the barrel gets hung up, have had to do this on occassion for the really tight barrels that needed more than lightly tapped in, otherwise they will not come back out in a proper manner until several hundred rounds are cycled to loosen up the bushings tolerance. Doesn’t take much filing just take some time and test fit often…..a light tap to get the barrel in is fine, anymore than that and a little filing will do the trick. This can be done with the barrel installed too, just slide the barrel forward when filing.

One additional thing on this topic…….if you have to lube and manhandle the barrel to get it out, the prying stress on the bushing could make an indentation or make the inside diameter of the bushing unsymetrical….better to just properly “fit” things given the new bushings tighter tolerence, the “fitting” (filing) adjustment will not affect accuracy, in fact it will ensure it

I installed one on my old 75B slide and yeah it is TIGHT! a bit looser now, but still noticeably tighter than stock new.

Recently I had the same experience after installing the bushing, but after shooting 300-400 rounds thru mine I can now remove the barrel  without issue.
