The Demise of CZ's LE/MIL Program
« on: February 09, 2022, 04:12:37 PM »
So, back when I first got into CZ I found out about thier LE/MIL program. I purchased most of my guns through it. It was a program where you purchsed direct from CZ for an outstanding price. They did not charge tax and shipping was flat rate. They also provided discount pricing on parts and even offered some swag items. Well, times have changed for sure. First the Direct sales program halted and they instructed us to go through CZ LE dealers. Then the parts discount stopped and the justification was not very clear. Well, today I found out that Cajun Gun Works pulled out of the CZ LE/MIL dealer program as well.

This really has me thinking about building my system around CZ. That and the already difficulty with getting CZ spare parts really has me thinking. It seems other companies are improving thier LE/MIL programs while CZ is going the other direction. Not complaining, just dissapointed.

Think there is a lot going on with CZ in readjusting their programs and products as they bring in Colt products.  Hopefully there will be new programs that will increase the availability to LE/MIL in the near future.

I fully agree with you. It was great when it was available. Granted my CZ’s (czechmates, TSO and Shadow 2) are not listed in the MIL/LE program, I was still able to avail myself of the program when buying parts directly from CZ USA.

It’s really unfortunate that CZ and some CZ dealers have discontinued this program. However, even Sig have stopped selling directly to the MIL/LE through the Sig Pro Shop. I bought all my Sigs directly from the Sig Pro Shop and it came with my 15% military discount, no sales tax and free 2-day fedex shipping. Nowadays, they want MIL/LE individuals to purchase their Sigs from authorized dealers. When I called corporate to inquire about the change, they told me it was due to the lack of manpower because of Covid 🙄.

At least they still have the program and it’s a substantial savings after it’s all said and done.

I had recently (1 year ago) found out about the program. I ordered 2 Dan Wessons (which came in in a few months) but also 3 CZ's which I'm guessing I wont see now-lol.

Not 100% along the same line, but some of the changes CZ has made recently have left me cold.

Suffice it to sat that my brand loyalty is limited to the things that will now be used firearms, and I find it increasingly difficult to be interested in newer products.

Most of my Cz interest is in rifles, so I'm sure my thoughts are different than handgun folks.

I’m also disappointed the program changed, but am not surprised given the stresses companies face with workforce and supply chain.

As said, there is much going on behind the scenes with adjusting to the new Colt acquisition, but it is disconcerting indeed.
