Please post in the correct forum !
« on: October 06, 2020, 10:31:00 PM »
I (and the other moderators) are going to delete without notice posts in this and every other  forum that are not posted in the correct sub-forum. Every time I log in, I have to move two or three or more such posts. It is not my job to move your posts to the right forum if you are too lazy to post them correctly in the first place. It is not much to ask: Look down the list of sub-forums and post your topic in the right one.

Sorry. Posted my first post today. I didn't see the "kiss your thread goodbye" sticky until after I posted.
Thanks for not deleting my post. Won't be doing that again.

IMHO, 99% of the problems could be avoided if members simply read the clearly posted rules and instructions BEFORE posting. On average, I correct 25 posts and delete at least 1, everyday of the week. And that's just me ! There are many other Admins and Moderators scrubbing the board on a daily basis.

The most prominent offenses are:
• Foul language
• Berating other members
• Silly squabbles over minor details
• Not strictly adhering to the Classified rules
• And yes, posting topics in the wrong sub-forum

Our goal is to make this the best gun forum on the planet, not to argue with members. But as with any "happy place" there are always a few "bad operators" who need to push the limits of decorum. Woe unto them.

Regards

I try, but feel there should be a little wiggle room. For example, I was having issues with certain defensive ammo feeding in my Rami. I searched and reviewed multiple threads in the ammo forum and found no info related specifically to the Rami. Lots of good info, but not what I was looking for. I posted in the Rami forum as I was looking only for info for my Rami. It got moved to the ammo forum and my question got somewhat answered but the suggestion that I print out the ammo sticky was ludicrous. A general list of ammo that worked in someones cz had no answers for me. Mt PCR runs v-crown great but my Rami chokes on it.  I felt at the time (and still do) that the question was more appropriate to the Rami forum than the ammo forum. Just my 2 cents and we have to agree to disagree but I would have been upset had my post simply been deleted for that reason

Thanks for listening.

Mr Vette -
I do feel that you may be overly sensitive about this particular post. Admin and Moderators are humans, and as such, we do make mistakes. Web site administration is not an exact science. After reading 50-85 posts a day with every known spelling and grammar mistake, frankly I'm surprised I don't "go postal" and delete everything !!

But to address your concerns:
1. The fact your post was moved and not deleted proves that Moderators do give members "wiggle room".

2. You found no RAMI specific threads in the Ammo Forum because that's where we discuss CZ ammo, not specific firearms.

3. I'm sorry that you found being pointed to the CZ Owners Preferred Ammo List "ludicrous". That thread is built entirely on contributions from CZ owners who have each fired hundreds of rounds in multiple CZ pistols. We note that you did not see fit to make a contribution to this communal effort while you were there.

4. We also note that it was pointed out that several members reported issues with the SIG Elite V-Crown, the exact ammo you were using. But you failed to mention getting that help in your complaint above.

My comments:
• What I find "ludicrous" is that you're complaining about a thread that wasn't deleted, and where you did receive help. I don't get it.

• But just to show we're not the "Soup Nazis" you make us out to be, I've moved your thread back to the Rami section. Hope you get the help you dreamed of.  https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=120453.0

All the best.
