Intended to be an economy version of the Bren 2, it seems this never made it to serious production because buyers preferred the Bren 2:

From the looks of it, assuming it was functionally reliable, I’d rather have an 807, with its extended railed receiver rather than the 2Ms, with its horrible, contrived, unergonomic front end.
