Carry ammo P10s
« on: March 27, 2022, 04:54:55 PM »
Just came back from range after putting like 200 rounds previously thru my S. Wanted to check out some carry ammo. Didn’t do extensive testing but on a lot of hollow point ammo noticed a couple FTF and had to hit the slide to finish the feed. So on the HP ammo I noticed when racking the slide with ammo in clip there seems to be a noticeable click unlike ball ammo. I polished the feed ramp but still same click. Any ideas

Thanks

Either the profile or OAL length of the ammunition. Try some different.

Agreed - what ammo are you using? My S and my son's S are both non-finicky eaters, so this is surprising.

• The place to start is in our Preferred Ammo List. We work very hard to maintain this list and all the ammo listed has been tried in multiple CZ pistols by multiple users.

• Most of this ammo reflects a preference toward Federal JHP and Speer Gold Dot, the same brands LEOs prefer. The preferred weights tend to be 135gr and 147gr, but this is always changing as the technology evolves.

Hope this helps.

Pfisto, what ammo did you use to break it in?

I have a P10S and as I was breaking it in it had a lot of issues (failure to go into battery) with the Armscor 9mm FMJ I was using (its whats made here, so it was the cheapest factory ammo I could get).

After a couple of mags I shifted to a box each of 9mm PMC JHP, 9mm Blaser Brass FMJ and 9mm Hornady Critical Defense and they fired flawlessly (phew).

After a couple of hundred rounds I noticed that the P10S was beginning to be less picky with Armscor stuff, FTFs were now maybe 1 or 2 per mag at most.

There's currently a gun ban on till June over here because of the elections but I hope to break in the P10S a little further after that.
