Determine exact model of cz compact through serial number?

Hi all

I have purchased a CZ compact pistol recently but have been unable to see it yet.

There was a lot of misinformation from local dealer about what models are available from CZ itself and what we get imported to my country.

Is there a way I can use the serial number of the gun to confirm the exact model that the gun is?

 Yes. If you are in the U.S. you could contact CZ-USA and they could tell you as long as it was something they imported. Though it sounds like you may not be in the U.S. If that is the case you would need to contact the importer for your country or CZ-UB.

Thanks and yes I am not from the USA. I will attempt to get hold of someone from CZUB.cz and see if they can provide the information.

Did you see a picture of the pistol you ordered?  The model is specified on the slide.

Does your expectant compact have a steel, aluminum, or polymer frame?

Hi Skookum, I have yet to see it in person but did manage to get a reply from czub.cz using the serial number. They said it should be steel frame with standard safety and no rail (which is as expected). Live quite far from town so might be a some weeks until I can see gun in person.

Was concerned it may be a different gun that what I ordered but feeling better about it now.
