Psa on scope rings and action screws
« on: May 06, 2022, 10:47:06 PM »
Went to a friend's place for some shooting. He was shooting and hitting all over the target. It was shooting great last year. I pulled out my shooting range tool box. Scope rings and action screws were loose. Check'em out before going hunting or shooting. Could save you some grief.

I've had that happen a couple times. Felt like an idiot once I figured it out. I always have a basic toolkit with me at the range now.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

Good point. I also had an AR front hand guard come loose years ago when I was trying to zero the iron sights. It resulted in the front sight moving very slightly after each group fired. Figured something was wrong after I had to make a windage adjustment for the third time.
