So, unless you want to be able to ever mount a light the PCR is fine for carry and is a tad later although you probably will never tell the difference.

I never really understood the whole snag free site thing. Having snag free sites preclude you from ever doing emergency operations with the rear sight.  I do not know who ever snagged their sights because it doesn’t help you drawl the weapon at all.  I think it all started with Novak designing really cool looking sites and promoting something that didn’t really help but looked cool and others  followed.

simpleman. you really ought to try out the PCR, you'll love it even more than your P-01 omega! As long as you get larger sights of course. I wonder what size of sights your P-01 omega has. Mine had the larger 3 dot white sights. CZ is now shipping them with the tiny PCR sights.

I changed the front sight that I got from CGW its a Dawson FO.

FYI: The Fiber Optic sights are useless in low light conditions.

It's true the FO are not as visible in low light as they are in day light. In low light conditions they are just old school iron sights with a bit of contrast and if its so dark I can't see you use a flashlight and they light up like a Christmas tree. I understand there are better sights out there but I have what I have..

I put TruGlo Pro sights on my PCR.

I have them on other pistols and they work fine with my aging eyes in the dark and in the sunlight.

The PCR is one of my favorite pistols.

I’m a newbie with CZ handguns but not with firearms. I’ve actively shot firearms for over 60 years.

I purchased my first CZ handgun earlier this year, a Shadow 2. Soon I decided I wanted a CZ compact. I bounced back and forth between the different models. At first I wanted a safety model but finally decided on a decocker model. After handling several different ones, I saw a big difference in trigger pulls. So, I decided to search for a decocker model with a better trigger pull. Yesterday I purchased a P 01 Omega which has the second best trigger that I’ve tried. It wouldn’t have mattered to me which decocker model. JMO

Joe,
can you elaborate more on the big difference in trigger pulls that you felt?
I can't get my hands on any of the 3 models I'm considering:  the p-01, p-01 omega, or the PCR, so any input would be appreciated.
For reference, I have smaller/medium sized hands and don't have any real issues with my CZ SP-01 competition model.

Several triggers would be gritty, with some having a very heavy trigger pull. I handled a few with a bad sa pull but a great da pull and right opposite. My new P 01 Omega came with a fine sa pull and a not so good da pull with a lot of stacking. But it has improved tremendously in both pull weight and the stacking has all but disappeared. As I mentioned in a previous reply, I handled one that was great both sa and da.

Also, my opinion is if model type is not important and you’re not ready or willing to install aftermarket parts, shop around for a better trigger with cash in hand.

I used my P-01 Omega in stock form for quite a while and thought it was fine the way it was however after hearing all the great comment about the spring kits I installed one just because I was curious. I installed the MCARBO spring kit since it wasn't that much in cost and wasn't that difficult to install, it made the pulls smoother for sure.

The trigger pulls from all three models will vary widely from CZ, depending on what is shipped to you.
I have two PCR's with DA/SA pull at 9.5/3.5 lbs.
Also have and/or had, a P-01 Omega with a DA/SA pull at 9/3, 8.5/3 and 10/3 lbs

All of which are acceptable. What is not acceptable, is a crunchy trigger or one that hangs up, which is why I suggest buying new, so that just in case you get one like that, you can send it back to CZ for free and they will do a free trigger job, polishing and de-burring etc. , even lengthening the chamber throat if necessary, if you have feed problems. All of which I have experienced. CZ customer service is great! But their Quality Control is not.
