Are Lux and Trainer barrels interchangeable?

I have a model 455 Trainer in 22lr. I'd like to get a .17HMR barrel for it. I haven't found one but found a few for the 457 LUX. The 455 and 457 barrels are supposed to interchange but I don't know if the Lux barrel is compatible with the Trainer stock.

 They are compatible. It's the stock that determines compatibility mostly as the heavy profile barrels (varmint for example) won't fit in the barrel channel designed for regular profile ones (like the Lux and American).

As alp3367 mentions it's probably more of a barrel profile and stocks barrel channel question. The 455 Trainer still shows a photo on the CZ-USA web page in the discontinue products section and the barrel seems to have the same profile as the 457 Lux. At least as much as you can tell by a single photo. You might give CZ-USA a call and ask. CZ list the 455 barrels as discontinued but as you noted the barrels will interchange between the 455's and 457's. The barrel mountings the same. If the profiles match you should be good to go.

Yeah, it's the profile that concerns me. CZ doesn't give an answer on their website. At least not that I could find. I was hoping to compare part numbers but couldn't find them. As I said, the big question is, will the Lux be compatible with the trainer stock. I'll try giving them a call when the weekend is over. The barrels sound identical but, who knows.

 Yes, they are compatible. A lux barrel will work fine in an American stock, and the other way around also works fine.

For some reason I remembered the American as coming with a shorter barrel. I just went on their site and double checked, and it says 24.8". So, I guess all 3 of those models have the MOL same barrel (sans sights). Since the 17HMR would be used exclusively with a scope I suppose I could just use an American barrel also. I never considered it before because like I said I thought it was much shorter. I just did a fairly quick internet search looking for a price on American barrel kits and... nope. Still, there's lots of the LUX ones for some reason which is just fine.

There were American model (mine is 452) with 16" barrel in addition to standard longer barrel.
