« on: April 04, 2022, 04:42:10 AM »

Is the “sc” P10 coming to states?  Also, I womder why they opposite their typical “SC” in that thir SC is normal grip with shorter slide?  I would like to see both honestly.

I wondered the same thing in regards to coming to the states.  If I had to guess, I'd say no.  Here in the states, people have not really figured out that its the length of the grip that affects how concealable the gun is whereas the Czechs probably like a longer sight radius and a bit more velocity.

Here we have people buy a G26 and put a G19 magazine/w grip extension in it.  Sort of like the RAMI's long magazine.  You take a perfectly concealable pistol and make it print very badly through your T-Shirt. Sure, it feels more natural in the hand, but I'm left scratching my head wondering why they didn't just buy a G19 or PCR.  Same with the G43X.  Almost the same size as a G19 but with fewer rounds.

If I've offended anyone, please accept my apologies.  I don't need to understand.

Body type and holster make a difference.  I have an athletic build, and I've found that I conceal the P10F better than I could the P10S.  The reason being is that it's the very end of the grip/magazine that typically prints through the shirt, as it's those corners that the shirt gets caught up on.  So, with the longer F grip, those corners hit me further to my side when I'm carrying AIWB, so it's less noticeable.  The S would print closer to my stomach, and be more noticeable.  Using a dark wing and a teardrop muzzle pad, both from Darkstar, were game changers for me.  They push the grip so snug against my body, that it's actually even more comfortable to carry the F due to where those corners hit me (hot spots).  My body type also helps, I suppose.

I think I remember reading that "SC" in this context stands for Semi-Compact instead of Sub-Compact like we're usually used to in the USA.  Semi meaning the full-length slide of the F version with the shorter grip of the C version.

I too wish that CZ USA would start selling the SC version, or at least sell me an F-sized barrel and slide assembly so I could make one, but so far it's not readily available, and I haven't been quite willing to buy a complete F pistol just to use the upper.  I have no use for a P10F frame at this point :(
